Just a few days shy of being nine months old, Micah received his first haircut. I had been saying for weeks that he could use a haircut but part of me didn't want to see his golden locks go. I knew he would look older and that the haircut signified he was turning into a boy. He's not a teeny tiny baby anymore! He changes every week; it just blows my mind! Anyway, enough with my sentimental evaluation... I think I can say the first haircut was a success. Micah was super squirmy and not too happy with us, but I managed to trim his hair without leaving any bald spots or scars so I feel pretty good. He has his daddy's hairline so it was not so easy to style-- hair flowing in several different directions due to cal licks. I'm sure a barber would have done a better job but I am taking pride in my first attempt and think he looks pretty darn handsome.

It was very brave of you to take on cutting Micah's hair! You did a very good job too!! :)
Oh, what sweet pictures. Just love them. The lighting is just perfect. Haircut turned out great--it does make him look a bit older...I know that is a bit sad. :(
