First Haircut

Just a few days shy of being nine months old, Micah received his first haircut. I had been saying for weeks that he could use a haircut but part of me didn't want to see his golden locks go. I knew he would look older and that the haircut signified he was turning into a boy. He's not a teeny tiny baby anymore! He changes every week; it just blows my mind! Anyway, enough with my sentimental evaluation... I think I can say the first haircut was a success. Micah was super squirmy and not too happy with us, but I managed to trim his hair without leaving any bald spots or scars so I feel pretty good. He has his daddy's hairline so it was not so easy to style-- hair flowing in several different directions due to cal licks. I'm sure a barber would have done a better job but I am taking pride in my first attempt and think he looks pretty darn handsome.

Snapshots of our Little Man

Everyone told me that babies get more and more fun after 6 months and boy were they right! At 9 months, Micah is a bundle of joy, showering us with smiles and squeals, funny faces and sounds, and mouth-wide-open kisses. Here are some of my favorite shots from the past month...

Hippity Hop

Our church held an Eggstravaganza for the community the weekend before Easter. It was a great turn out, and everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. We had moonbounces, crafts, pictures with the bunny, and of course an egg hunt. Micah loved the bunny; it was a riot to watch him stare lovingly into the bunny's eyes and bury his face in his fuzzy hands.

Loving the Outdoors

Not much to say right now but I wanted to post some photos from the past month that capture our love for the outdoors and warmer weather. Micah has loved getting outside more, observing all the sights and sounds!

What's Your Style?

I came across Sproost.com while blog hopping the other day. You can take a quiz that allows you to rate different rooms and then it gives you your style at the end with a description and photo example. Mine was pretty accurate, entitled "Arts & Crafts." You can then explore different decorating ideas, furniture, etc. that fit your style. If you're looking to redecorate, this would be a fun way of getting ideas!

So what's your style??

Arts & Crafts

You tend to prefer simple to ornate and natural materials over man-made. Warm tones found in wood and brass make you feel comfortable, and good craftsmanship excites you like nothing else.

You enjoy patterns that highlight our natural surroundings such as plants and trees. You prefer rectilinear forms and straight lines, however you love to find intricate details (ooooh, stained glass!) where you least expect it.
