While Tim was on a business trip earlier this month (his last one might I add--hooray!!), I was blessed to be able to take a road trip with Micah, Nancy, and Sarah Grossman to visit my dear prego friend, Mimi (their daughter/sister), and her wonderful hubby, Greg, in Ohio. I definitely could have done without the 9 hour car rides, especially driving through the blizzard that Friday, but the long ride was so worth it.
I was so proud of Micah for the way he handled being stuck in the car that long! He barely complained the whole ride. It certainly helped that I bought a portable DVD player the day before the trip. Micah could have cared less about videos before this trip so I wasn't even sure it would be helpful. Turns out he loved the Elmo/A-Z video I brought and now I can't get through a day without him asking to watch "Elmo? A?" Too funny.
It was a wonderful relaxing weekend just hanging out together like the good old days. I'm not even sure what we did during my time there...we just enjoyed each other's company. :) Micah was a very content boy, happily playing with household items (especially the broom), chasing after their cats (can't say they enjoyed that too much), and listening to countless readings of the few books I brought with us. I'm so glad I was able to visit and be with Mimi during her pregnancy. The next time I see her will be in April for her baby shower and she will only have one month to go! So exciting!
